Sports aren't just for the young!
Almost half of respondents in the Kyrgyz Republic—43%—say they engage in physical activity or sports. Moreover, most of active respondents exercise several times a week: 15% exercise every/almost every day, and another 22% do so at least several times a week.
Unsurprisingly, the proportion of young respondents (18-30) who exercise is higher than that of the middle-aged and older generations – 56%. However, it's notable that the "over 60" group has a higher proportion of those who exercise than those aged 46-60 – 39% versus 33%. Interestingly, one in three respondents over 60 (80% of those "exercising") devotes time to physical activity almost every day.
Data source: Telephone survey of the population of the Kyrgyz Republic, March 18–April 2, 2026. 809 respondents. The margin of error does not exceed 3.44%.
