Roundtable Discussion: “The Energy of New Markets: How to Scale a Business in Central Asia?” Research Expo, Moscow
At Research Expo 2026, M-Vector founder Nail Khaibulin participated in a roundtable discussion titled “The Energy of New Markets: How to Scale a Business in Central Asia?”
Together with colleagues from the research industry, they discussed the challenges faced by companies planning to enter the markets of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, and why success in one country isn’t always transferable to a neighboring one.
The discussion proved fruitful. They covered key business aspects: from market selection and product adaptation to pricing, marketing, and sales channels that work in Central Asia.
Nail shared our experience working in the region and explained why, beyond the general statistics on population and purchasing power, it’s important to understand real consumer habits, decision-making patterns, and the local context.
Thank you to all the panelists, moderator Natalia Ospanova, and the 7/89 Association for the opportunity to hold this discussion and share our knowledge and data on Central Asia with the audience!
