M-Vector Company and the Economic Policy Research Institute under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic signed a Memorandum

M-Vector Company and the Economic Policy Research Institute under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic signed a “Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation for the Development of the Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic”.

To date, our cooperation has already reached a practical plane. We are implementing a research project on "Assessing the socio-economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the welfare of socially vulnerable segments of the Kyrgyzstan population" as a part of the technical assistance of the UN Development Program in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The coronavirus pandemic has had a negative impact on the economy and living standards in Kyrgyzstan. Moreover, experts assume that the crisis in the economy may drag on. The virus affected not only people, but also it “infected” the economy. Only timely measures can reduce the impact of a pandemic on the economy.

“Accurate and up-to-date information has always been the basis for making the right and effective decisions. Therefore, we are confident that our cooperation with the Institute will assist in the development of recommendations to minimize the negative consequences of the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic and measures to restore economic activity, ”said Nail Khaibulin, General Director of M-Vector.

“The main objective of our Institute for 2020 is to encourage the further development of cooperation between research institutions, organizations, and consulting agencies in the country to develop science-based recommendations on socio-economic issues that can form the basis for making relevant decisions,” noted Almaz Isanov, Director of the Economic Policy Research Institute under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
