Immunization Program in Kyrgyzstan

M-Vector specialists participated in a meeting to track the annual progress of the routine immunization program in Kyrgyzstan, which took place June 5-7, 2023 in the village of Sary-Oi, CO "Karven 4 Seasons".
The meeting was organized by representatives of the Ministry of Health and subordinate organizations together with partners from GAVI, WHO and UNICEF.

The main objectives of the meeting were:
- Updating the immunoprophylaxis program in the Kyrgyz Republic,
- reviewing the results of immunization programs in the Kyrgyz Republic,
- identification of potential barriers to the introduction of new vaccines
- impact of the CVID-19 pandemic on immunization of the country's population.

The meeting also discussed necessary immunoprophylaxis measures and challenges facing health care providers and international partners.
The M-Vector team gave a presentation prepared as part of the immunization project on "Mapping of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Kyrgyzstan". As part of their presentation, M-Vector specialists presented a registry of CSOs working in the field of vaccination and immunization of the population in Kyrgyzstan, which presented such data about public civil associations as the goals and mission of each CSO, work experience, project activities and achievements, etc.

From the represented CSOs, UNICEF will further select partners to build communications and collaborative activities to strengthen immunization efforts.

The event was also attended by the Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Arykbaeva Bouguzhan Kamchybekovna, Regional Director Gavi Sem Muller, Special Representative of the Regional Director and Head of WHO Country Office, Shahin Husseinov, and UNICEF Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic, Christine Jolm.

M-Vector thanks the organizers of the meeting for the opportunity to participate in the event and gain valuable knowledge in the field of medicine and health care.
