Forum of Think Tanks of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization

The forum’s program focused on topics that directly influence the region’s development and the shaping of Central Asia’s future agenda: regional security, economic integration, transport and digital connectivity, the development of humanitarian cooperation, and the role of think tanks in the context of global change. Participants paid special attention to the formation of a common intellectual space among SCO countries and the development of expert cooperation between states. 

This year’s event was particularly significant, as the forum took place during the SCO’s anniversary year and brought together representatives of think tanks, research institutes, international organizations, and the academic and expert communities of the organization’s member states.

At the forum, Nail Khaibulin noted that analytics and research are increasingly becoming part of strategic dialogue not only in business but also at the level of international cooperation and state development. Today, high-quality data, expertise, and the ability to interpret social and economic processes play an increasingly important role in decision-making.

Such platforms not only facilitate discussions on global challenges but also foster a professional community where new partnerships, joint initiatives, and research projects emerge, influencing not only the development and security of Kyrgyzstan but the entire Eurasian region. For M-Vector, participation in such events is an opportunity to continue being part of the international expert dialogue, exchange experiences with colleagues from different countries, and further develop the research and analytical environment in Central Asia.
